Beautiful Losers is a literary magazine dedicated to promoting the literary work of both new and established writers. We accept submissions of poetry, short fiction, and short non-fiction.
Guidelines
Send all your writing in the body of your query email. If your writing requires special formatting that necessitates the use of PDF or Word, please state that explicitly in your query letter, otherwise your work will be deleted unread.
Poetry: Please send no more than six poems here.
Short Fiction: Please send no more than two short stories of up to 5,000 words here.
Non-Fiction: Please send no more than two pieces of non-fiction of up to 5,000 words here. Non-fiction can be journalistic, essays, or personal memoirs.
Response Time
Our typical response time is less than 3 weeks. If you have not received notification within 60 days, please feel free to inquire about the status of your submission.
Simultaneous Submissions
Because we are swift in our response time, we do not accept simultaneous submissions.
Payment
Unfortunately, at the present time, we do not offer compensation to writers.
Rights
We will acquire First Time Publishing Rights. You will maintain all other rights after we publish your writing. We also retain the right to publish your writing indefinitely in the future in anthologies or in any other medium. All writing will remain on our archive. Please contact us if you would like your work removed at any point.
